Summary/Abstract: Many periods and art movements that have passed into history say something new by taking a stance against the thought that existed before them. In fact, it can be mentioned that there are artists who completely rejected the idea defended in the name of art and developed a new idea. In modernism, many art movements have developed a new discourse by excluding the description of the optical image from the art of painting. In short, modern art has provided production with a new understanding of thought by rejecting tradition and academic rules. Continuing its dominance in Europe, Modernism is also a process that includes two great world wars. The idea of rejection, which is an instinctive manifestation of art with many avant-garde formations, has gone one step further and turned into an act of destruction. In this study, besides the literature review, some of the artists who put forward a new idea or work with the act of destruction and the situations of art that are formed by the instinct of rejection by collecting data with the document and analysis method in the internet environment were examined.
