Summary/Abstract: The theme of the paper is the analysis of a literary text by Peter Stoličný. The first part of the paper includes biographical facts about the writer and then his literary texts in general are presented. Later, the examination is focused on his book called Chimpanzees form The Seven C (1990). The analysis starts with the interpretation of the book as a whole then it highlights one concrete part of the text which serves as a study material for Student Books of Slovak Literature used in the Slovak republic. The following passage deals with the text’s methodological and didactical analysis. After that the paper presents the didactical goals of a lesson of literature, the usage of teaching methods and forms of work with the literary text in between and behind the walls of the school, the possible steps in the process of education (presenting the work with the text in certain parts of the lesson of literature), furthermore the objects, skills and goals of the lesson. Of course, the things presented in the paper are only suggestions and serve as a source for further discussion, because some other facts have to be also taken into consideration: e.g. the personality of the teacher and the students.
