Tragic Cosmos

Summary/Abstract: We are defined by our basic experiences. Condensed into images, they guide our thoughts. Sometimes a picture is like a flash of lightning, opening up the fabric of our reality. At other times, it sets the framework of our thinking like a melody in the background, an invisible rhythm. Our tragic cosmos is born out of the tension between two opposing basic experiences. The experience of self-consciousness and self-abandonment, of thinking and of transcending the thought.
