Summary/Abstract: The article presents a group of words from F. Meninski’s Thesaurus Linguarium Orientalium (1680), which denote agents and carriers of attributes. The collection contains about a hundred words. Only few of them are still in use nowadays in the formal language, mainly in historical novels. Some can also be still found in modern Polish dialects. These words, however, are new derivatives rather than the continuants of our words, and usually have a different meaning.
