Summary/Abstract: The article represents a glimpse of Mircea Cărtărescu’s poetics in his novel Dazzling. We emphasize the writer’s special neo-ritualism and neo-mythologism, the relative status of reality versus dream and the imaginary worlds of man’s thought. We also point out the main figures in the narrative – the labyrinth and the butterfly.
