Summary/Abstract: The current article aims to outline the evolution of the international cooperation on climate change from its inception to the last few years of its development, focusing on the key international agreements that have been reached in this area. By summarising and analysing most of the key milestones along the way, the article wishes to show that climate change issues are at the heart of today's international relations.
