Summary/Abstract: Through this study we aim at bringing into the historians' and the amateurs' attention the biography of the Third Field Legion’s vice-prefect Florian Lăscudean, originary from Cucerdea, Mureș County. He studied at Blaj where he would be surprised by the 1848-1849 Revolution from Transylvania. He got involved actively in the revolutionary events, taking part into the Great National Assembly from Blaj hold on the 3rd/15th of May. From the month of September 1848, Florian Lăscudean hold the office of vice-prefect of the Third Field Legion. After the losses scored by the Third Field Legion Florian Lăscudean found a refuge in Ioan Axente Sever's camp at the foot of the Apuseni Mountains. Together with his soldiers he took part into the fights near the fortress of Alba-Iulia where he was seriously injured. He died few days later.
