Summary/Abstract: There are different approaches to films, depending on their different roles: they can be perceived as art, as an entertainment industry, they can contain information, they can be advertising and they can mean different forms of communication. Film, therefore, can meet different market needs, offering a range of employment opportunities for professionals. With the spread of social media, the range of possibilities is expanding, and in parallel, thinking about film is changing. But how can film production and the knowledge of film professionals be harnessed in Transylvania? How do traditional business models work for Transylvanian film workshops and how can this activity be sustainable? This article is based on interviews and case studies, looking at the issue from several perspectives.
