Summary/Abstract: The first stage of S. Vorobkevych's poetic work determines the search for various forms. The poet worked in various genres, actively used metalogical means of expressing the artistic language of his texts. The purpose of this study is to clarify the specifics of the poetics of the poetic works of S. Vorobkevych in terms of metalogical means. Research methods are predetermined by the purpose and tasks of the work, the object of research and are complex. The hermeneutic method and the method of slow reading (the method of receptive poetics) were practiced, aimed to reveal S. Vorobkevych artistic means, interpret his works. Formal method based on the use of statistics, quantitative processing of the material, aimed to analyze the aspects of versification, has been applied. The novelty of the article is that it comprehensively conducted a comprehensive study of the poetics of the poetic works of Sidor Vorobkevych early stage of creativity (1863 - 1867) in the metalogical aspect. Particular attention should be paid to the frequency coefficient” principle (FC), which is the ratio of the poetic element to the number of lines. This approach made it possible to obtain objective conclusions regarding the various components of poetry of the writer. Conclusions. Analysis of metalogical means showed that S. Vorobkevych actively used metaphors (FC – 0.045), comparison (FC – 0.004). Rarely used metonymy (FC – 0.001), moderately represented hyperbole, synecdoche, comparisons, euphemisms. A small percentage of frequency is offset by the diversity of trops.
