Summary/Abstract: Czesław Miłosz always defended himself from calling him a religious poet, but his works clearly show that the importance of religious problems in his poetic works played a bigger and bigger role in his creativity. Everything began from a praise to the world, good and beautiful nature. Later nature became was seen in sacred categories and the vision of the beyond and human clearly had a biblical character. In addition, the theory of apokatastasis and the deliberation about Manichaeism and Gnosticism, which shouldn’t be treated as creed declarations were added to that. An interesting vision of God present, but invisible to the world appeared in Miłosz’s poems. As time passed, the poems of the Noblist became more and more religious and got closer to Catholicism. In the same time, antinomies and contradiction, which always characterized the creativity of the poet are present.
