Summary/Abstract: The article addresses challenges related to the prevention of the use of psychoactive substances in adolescence. Risks and protective factors for drug use in this age group are presented. Structural and substantive aspects of school prevention programs are indicated. The goals, basic principles and content of prevention programs are analyzed in more detail. The role of teachers and opportunities for partnership with parents and other stakeholders are presented. Methods and techniques for the implementation of preventive activities are analyzed. Good practices are summarized.
