ABOUT COMPOSITION AND THEMATIC STRUCTURE OF THE WEEKLY OUR WORD PUBLISHED BY ASSOCIATION OF SERBS IN ROMANIA

Summary/Abstract: The author considers the electronic issue of a number of the Timisoara weekly Our Word, whose publisher is the Association of Serbs in Romania. Based upon the theory of media and the text analysis carried out earlier, the author concludes that, from the aspect of macrocomposition, many newspaper forms which have been made archaic in Serbian dailies or ’moved out’ from them to professional journals – can be found exactly in Our Word. In so-called ’headlines’ on the front page, the reader’s attention is drawn to the importance of some columns (comp.: Interview, Our Subject, Event, Culture) and then comes a variety of columns whose succession shows the important and current information about Serbs in Romania or the importance of activities and manifestations of the Association of Serbs in Romania.
