Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the terminology of sheep breeding in the Rudna village, Romania based on the dialect material gathered with the use of Upitnik za prikupljanje stočarske leksike (Questionnaire for registering cattle breeding terminology – topic: sheep breeding) questionnaire of the SANU Institute for Serbian Language and by recording respondents statements. The lexicalsemantical analysis includes the following thematic units: body parts, feeding, space and dairy products. The compiled lexis was compared to the respective one in the Sumadia-Vojvodina dialect in the home country.
