Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the microtyponim which is prevalent in the Serbian language area and occurs in Šumadija, Old Vlah and Herzegovina. The aim of this paper is to describe and systematize the legends about the name as well as the motive of Svatovskog groblje in the epic folk poetry. The paper starts with the onomastic and ethnolinguistic aspects. In the Serbian tradition a number of ritual actions were organized during the wedding, in order for bride to avoid all the dangers on the „dangerous“ path to the bridegroom’s home. As usual, the nuptials are always coming back the other way from the bride’s house to hide the trail. In the Old Vlah groom sometimes was not part of that group. Thus, according to the elements of the entire wedding ceremony, the boy and the girl were tabooed. The kidnapping of the bride by nuptials is often regarded as the courage, and the biggest sin was to destroy bride's wedding gifts. Nuptials were killed (1) because they met the other wedding guests and did not want to get away from each others way, (2) by brigands or Turks, (3) crossing the icy river Drina, started playing kolo on the ice and sank. Sometimes the places where nuptials were killed were marked by raw stone without inscription. Research shows that the customs related to marriage in the Serbian tradition is basically pagan with layers of later epochs: it is the intertwining of old Serbian mythology and religion.
