Summary/Abstract: Ion Pillat and Dimcho Debelianov are two of the key-figures of the Romanian and Bulgarian Simbolism. Both poets come up in their works with themes and meanings which are quite similar. This purpose of this paper is to analyze two evocative poems – “Toamna” (“The Autumn”) by Ion Pillat and “Гората” (“The Wood”) by Dimcho Debelianov. In the time-space dimension, the two poems generate reciprocal artistic systems with the same philosophical meaning: the existential fatigue makes the artistic persona dream about the afterworld – the space and time of eternal oblivion.
