Summary/Abstract: The article examines the question of the way in which Bulgaria left the war. The accent is put on the “Unconditional Capitulation” – a formulation proposed by US President F. Roosevelt in 1943 arid its implementation in the case of the Bulgarian armistice in October 1944. Although the “Unconditional Capitulation” was not present as a term in the document signed on October 28, the procedure of its drawing, the contacts of the Bulgarian delegation during the period from October 16 to 28 with the Allies and mostly denying the Bulgarians the opportunity to set forth and considerations and claims speak that in practice the principle of “Unconditional Capitulation” was fully observed with respect to Bulgaria.
