Summary/Abstract: During our research in Russia, we “discovered” a silver vessel of Moldavian origin located in Sankt Petersburg’s Russian Museum collection. It is a small vessel (porringer) made at the beginning of the 16th century. The one who had it made was “Stephen voivode, son of Bogdan voivode”. There were two princes with this name at the beginning of the 16th century in Moldavia: Stephen the Great and his nephew Stephen. We hypothesize how the vessel reached Poland and then Russia.
