Summary/Abstract: The article presents the oldest documented mention of a chanter’s name in the history of the Principality of Moldavia and the sole such mention in the 15th century. A certain Gheorghe Srpina (“of the Serbian”), probably a Serbian refugee, writes in 1454 and 1456 two charters by which Prince Petru Aron makes donations to Humor Monastery.
