IDENTITY. RESTRUCTURING. LANDSCAPE

Summary/Abstract: The approach of identity and, implicitly, of the globalization, unifromization, informatization and communication must opperate some delimitations: physical context – public space, urban history, urban continuity; informational context – loss of urban identity, promotion of local values through information technology. The urban identity is built on the base of two elements: the built heritage and the natural space containing it. The concepts proposed for debate implies complex discussions, being necessary to analyze them in the specific contexts. I will talk about Urban Identity, Urban Image and Urban Landscape - what they generally represent and their redefinition trends in the present context.
