Expense-loaded premiums for multistate insurance contracts

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to complement the calculation of the net premium of multistate insurance contract by taking into account insurance expenses of concluding and running the insurance contract. This allows us to derive the expense-loaded premium for multistate insurance contracts. Our approach goes beyond the classical, used, e.g., for life insurances, where it is assumed that the acquisition expenses are realized only at the beginning of the insurance period. The proposed approach relaxes this assumption, by allowing the possibility of spreading acquisition expenses to the whole insurance period.
