Summary/Abstract: The scientific article examines the period of education of the young Bulgarian prince and future ruler of Bulgaria in the 10th century – Tsar Simeon. He received the highest education of his time at the famous Magnaure School in Constantinople. He received extremely good training in the capital of Bulgaria, Pliska, after studying in private schools in Constantinople, where he was prepared for the higher sciences at the Magnaura Imperial School. Some characteristics of secondary and higher education in Byzantium during the period considered are also presented.
