Summary/Abstract: The author attempted to classify conceptual approaches to the problem of the development of visual thinking in pedagogy and psychology. The idea of the development of visual thinking of schoolchildren by means of the training «Visual gymnastics» at the lessons of fine arts is expressed. The training «Visual gymnastics» is proposed to be carried out in the format of a mini-training. Provides examples of training tasks and exercises.
