Summary/Abstract: The students of nursing are being prepared for the care of the dying during the theoretical part of their studies. However, a real encounter with death always presents a strong emotional experience. Given the fact that the knowledge base and skills needed to provide care to a dying patient are formed and acquired already during studies, it is necessary to analyse the views of nursing students on end-of-life care. The aim of the survey was to determine the views of nursing students in clinical practice on death, dying and end-of-life care. The method of content analysis was implemented to analyse the data obtained during supervision of nursing students doing their clinical practice. The analysis of the data identified several topics (death, students with the dying, students with themselves, etc.) and categories such as fear, the reality of life, new beginning, family support, communication, professional and personal growth, etc. The results obtained are being used to improve the education of students of nursing.
