Craft and story – cruises from Oltenia

Summary/Abstract: This paper is structured in two parts - the first part of the paper is about traditional crafts, about the popular creator who has the role of making traditional objects that perform utilitarian functions, rituals. The second part of the paper focuses on the life stories of the four cruisers I met in 2013-2015 in the villages of Urși and Pietriș in Oltenia and who make memorial crosses that are placed at the fountain, crossroads and cemetery at six weeks.
