Patriarch Bartholomew on a Reconciliation Visit to Ukraine

Summary/Abstract: The article undertakes to present the essential qualities of Patriarch Bartholomew’s pastoral visit to Ukraine, which are largely contained in his messages and speeches. The content presented will remain a source of interpretation and synthesis of the most important message of the head of Orthodoxy addressed to the community of the autocephalous Church of Kiev and the entire society. We will be interested mainly in four speeches by the patriarch during: thanksgiving “doxology”, liturgical assembly, the ceremony of awarding the doctorate honoris causa and a meeting with the All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations.
