Summary/Abstract: The present study aims to illustrate the way in which the binomial philosophia perennis versus ingenium perenne thematizes the history of European philosophy. The pattern of this thematization will be pursued in the Romanian inter-war thinking by pointing out the meta-philosophical circumstances of the „scientific philosophy” versus „literary philosophy” controversy.
