Summary/Abstract: Beyond a simple travelogue, Sur les chemins noirs is a manifesto. “Les chemins noirs” are above all the lines that are drawn on a map to designate the roads, those that invite exploration and adventure; but, at the same time, they represent a certain vision of the world which, in Tesscon’s case, has the character of revolt, even anarchy. In this essay, I propose to compare two visions on how to relate to space (in our case, it will be the metropolitan France). I am going to rely on two cartographic representations of France provided by the book itself, but also on some concepts from the field of spatial studies and geophilosophy (Deleuze and Guattari) which seem to me relevant in order to frame conceptually the text signed by Sylvain Tesson
