Summary/Abstract: In the work of the Barcelonian writer Enrique Vila-Matas, the illusion, the games and the kaleidoscopic method rule the mystery of his narrative grid that is so fluctuant and so immersive. Lately, in his novels, there has been a dominance of this interesting syncretism of artistic languages (literary, visual, or musical) that has contributed to the construction of his narrative puzzle and that has strengthened the fragmentism and the transgression of all the rules of the narration and that of the affiliation to a definite artistic genre or current. In this paper, we intend to find the sources of this atomization or pulverization and remodulation and to analyze, comment and interpret them in one of his novels, especially in Mac’s Problem, which gives us the ideal material to prove the thesis of the vision and of the kaleidoscopic technique employed, by using the guidelines of the general rhetoric analysis.
