Summary/Abstract: In this article I will draw attention to the fact that basing the Romanian codes of ethics on specific rules, and not on widely recognized moral principles, but also the in distinction between values, principles and moral rules, will lead to problems that will make the the unified format of our codes of ethics and the rational ordering of their content, to be proved as being only an illusion. To this end, I will present the views of some authors regarding the fact that based on theoretically grounded ethical principles and not on actual moral rules can be formulated to guide action in specific situations, I will present some anti-theoretical guidelines in moral philosophy, I will show the way of basing some Romanian codes and I will point at least four problems that will be encountered by those who will start in the construction of the codes of ethics from “bottom up”, from rules to universal moral principles.
