Summary/Abstract: Feminist theology of liberation, as well as other directions of liberation theologies, aims in its arguments at accentuating the values of relationship and reciprocity at the level of creation, while strictly defining gender, social, political and environmental inequalities. The starting point of their egalitarian approach is, in particular, the personality and actions of Jesus Christ, in which they find inspiration for contemporary society, especially with regard to help and solidarity and a genuine interest in the suffering and needy. This interest is also reflected in the so called mystic of suffering Dorothee Sölle, whose position was anchored in the Feminist theology of liberation and which, in contrast to the mysticism of defiance, emphasizes the mysticism of suffering with a view to sharing the cross. The cross, in the perspective of Sölle‘s current and ubiquitous, is thus a challenge to mysticism and theology with regard to participation in suffering and compassion. Thus, while the mystic of suffering reflects the central virtues of Feminist theology of liberation and declares the value of suffering as a contribution to Christ‘s co suffering and as a place of mystical closeness to God, it is a universalizing view of suffering subject to reproaches in the context and concrete situation of sufferers.
