Summary/Abstract: The starting point of this study is even the still appearing accusations of satanism directed at Free Masons. In the two first parts of the study, the authors focus on the appearance of the words “Satan” and “satanism” in the internal periodicals of Czechoslovak Free Masons during the period of the First Republic. These appearances are nearly always merely a defense against such accusations, often coming from the secular press. In the third part, the authors discuss various organisations which at first might look like Free Masons, but in fact have no connection with regular Free Masons. In these cases, certain forms of satanism and occultism can sometimes exist. The conclusion of the article is based on previous research and there are a number of other arguments: regular Free Masons and satanism are two concepts that we should never connect.
