Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study was to present the problem of the carbon footprint. The concept of carbon footprint, its origin and scope are explained. Legal regulations, advantages and disadvantages as well as methods of the indicator estimation were discussed. A selected CO2 emission calculator was presented, informing about the environmental impact of a given user compared to the country/world average.
