Summary/Abstract: This study is motivated by two main factors, including: the limitations of previous studies on the sustainability of innovation in the public sector and the practical needs since the Indonesian government recently carried out a public sector innovation competition and generated thousands of new innovations. These practices will be dangerous if the government does not think about the sustainability of these innovations. Therefore, by taking the case of 2H2 Center of East Flores Regency, this study intended to explore the driving factors of the sustainability of innovation in the public sector. We have interviewed a number of informants and studied some of the documents obtained from them to achieve the objectives of this study. We found that the sustainability of innovation in the public sector was based on several factors such as organizational learning, financial sustainability, stakeholder engagement, data-driven innovation, open innovation: evolution and product development, and regulatory support. In practical terms, the results of this study can be used and considered by the government when the government intends to promote the sustainability of innovation in the public sector.
