Summary/Abstract: Currently we know 41 domed tombs from the area of Bulgaria and Türkiye. As many as 35 sites are located within the borders of present-day Bulgaria. We know only 6 tombs of this type from Türkiye, of which only 5 from the area of Eastern Thrace (the European part of Türkiye). Two tombs have been destroyed a long time ago and the condition of the remaining 3 is not the best. The tombs of East Thrace were made of limestone. There are no brick structures. There is also no known tomb of this type with frescoes. Only the tomb of Kırklareli B (currently non-existing), due to the size of the burial chamber, can be classified as a monumental tomb.
