Summary/Abstract: The Spanish language underwent different transformations, both through its natural evolution and through the influence of the languages with which it came into contact. Language -as a social phenomenon- is in continuous movement: it changes, transforms, develops and improves according to the historical and cultural period in which it finds itself and depending on the societies that use it. In the configuration of the Cuban variant of current Spanish, both the cultural influence and the language that each people contributed must be considered. These are observed more frequently in the lexicon, due to the denominative function of the word and due to the dialectical relationship, that was established between language, thought and objective reality. In this article, we see how much the influences of other cultures contributed to the process of evolution of the Cuban nation and its variant of the Spanish language.
