Summary/Abstract: Lifelong learning implies a lifelong learning activity aimed at improving a person’s knowledge, skills, and abilities for a more successful life and career. The goal of this paper is to point out the importance of well-designed lifelong learning programs for primary and secondary school music teachers, which need to be continuously designed and implemented. In this, the Center for Music Education at the Academy of Music in Sarajevo has an important role. The Center for Music Education allows teachers to participate in the creation of lifelong learning programs, improve existing skills, and contribute to the success of the teaching process at all levels of music education in their schools. In order to obtain specific guidelines for creating quality professional development programs, a survey was conducted among teachers who participated in the professional development of the Center for Music Education at the Academy of in Sarajevo.
