Summary/Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on all nation-states’ systems. Since its inception, societies around the world have chosen a proactive approach to disease prevention and containment, which has led to a number of expected and unexpected effects. It is difficult to calculate the true value of tangible and intangible damage on a global scale, thus the current article focuses on three areas of great importance to national security - economy, healthcare and digitalization. Each of these areas is experiencing disparate effects, including positive ones, but one thing could be claimed with certainty - the COVID-19 pandemic has caused a massive global transformation.
