Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present Bulgarian lecturers of the Bulgarian language, literature and culture at Charles University in the years after World War II. The work stresses their main traits as specialists and researchers, and also the most significant initiatives that they undertook while working as lecturers. The information offered here is based not only on their writings, but also on interviews, based on questionnaires, conducted with each lecturer. This provided the opportunity to include some personal impressions from their contacts with the Czech academic environment. Information on the publications of each lecturer can also be found in the biographical notes to the published research.
