Summary/Abstract: The reason for this text is the celebration of the 160th anniversary of the death of the Miladinovci brothers, of Dimitar - father of the Macedonian revival, and of Konstantin - founder of Macedonian artistic poetry. The text follows their overall activities, as well as some of the activities of their brother Nahum, who was the first melographer of Macedonian folk songs. Their activities include: teaching, patronage of the students, diplomatic, collecting, affirmation of the Macedonian language, fight against Hellenism and fight for the renewal of the Ohrid Archbishopric, journalistic, artistic activities. The Miladinovci brothers conceived and gave strength to the Macedonian cultural and national revival, due to which they became victims of the great territorial policy. In this context, the text follows the abolition of the Orthodox Churches in the Balkans by the Patriarchate of Constantinople, the emergence of the union with the Roman Catholic Church in Macedonia and Bulgaria, as well as the connection of Bulgaria with Croatia. The sacrifice of the Miladinovci brothers did not hinder the realization of their work because it was continued by their followers.
