Summary/Abstract: In 2017, The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a decree to change the Cyrillic as the basis for the Kazakh language into Latin, and that is why this article is relevant for nowadays. The purpose of the article is to analyse the phonological aspects of the new Latin alphabet of the Kazakh language. The authors performed a comparison of the different versions of the Kazakh alphabet in order to present spelling principles of the sound system transition of Kazakh language to the Latin script. This article will be useful to anyone interested in the history and development of the Kazakh language.
