Summary/Abstract: The results of a comparative study of the paleographic, textological, graphic-orthographic and other features of the Pskov parchment manuscripts of the first quarter of the 15th century let suggest that at that time at the Pskov Trinity Cathedral there was both a center of local chronicle writing, and the scriptorium, where liturgical and other manuscripts were made. It is possible that Deacon Luka, who served in the Trinity Cathedral, was both a skilled calligrapher and designer of manuscripts, and a master-mentor who taught other scribes in the traditions of the Pskov book-writing school of the 14th–15th centuries.
