Summary/Abstract: This analysis is trying to show a new face of the international order, an order which is based on the plurality of decision-making process. Regionalization as a substitute of globalization is an existential formula that generates identity. In our case, Romania is part of the eastern European region and inside it or through it, Romania could be remarked as a key-actor of the whole zone in relation with the entire world. The role of NATO and EU is signifiant in this area, but also Romania’s. Romania’s international security profile is well confirmed. Romania becomes the real European pivot-state, great enough to influence and consolidate the cultural side of the western alliance.
