Summary/Abstract: The present situation of the musical culture of Polish society requires effective education of children and adolescents provided by well-educated teachers. However, for many years, candidates for these fields of study have shown a low initial level of their musical skills and interests. Making up for these shortcomings when studying requires courageous actions by the university’s teaching staff and intensified efforts to build a high musical culture of future teachers. The high effectiveness of the teacher’s actions in the process of music education is guaranteed by the appropriate relationship between the teacher and the student, as well as the teacher’s clear identification with the values conveyed in these contacts.
