Summary/Abstract: In Romanian historiography it has been considered that some pre-Roman settlements in Wallachia were abandoned in particular historical circumstances according to certain ancient sources. The settlement from Cârlomăneşti would have been destroyed by Burebista, and those from Popeşti and Zimnicea would have been abandoned in the context of the relocation of the Getae at the orders of Aelius Catus in the 1st decade AD (Strabo VII. 3. 10-11). By their specific chronological framing, three fibulae indicate a later human presence in the settlements from Cârlomăneşti, Popeşti and Zimnicea after the beginning of the 1st century AD. The three fibulae were introduced with great reluctance into the scientific lietrature, several decades after their discovery. In this way, the enshrined historiographical dogmas have benefited from a increased longevity.
