Summary/Abstract: Kocaeli is one of the most important industrial cities close to Istanbul. This city, which forms a cultural mosaic with its diverse population, also emigrates in its rural areas as well as the immigration it receives. Among the villages that make up the diversity of the urban culture, there are Manav, Georgian, Laz, Albanian, Circassian, Abkhazian, Tatar, Bosnian, etc. A mixed structure is also observed in the city center due to migration. Within the scope of this study, the cultural values of Tatarahmet village, which is a greengrocer village, within the scope of Kocaeli urban culture, were examined with a photoethnographic approach, and the cultural losses caused by the migration from the village to the city were made using the descriptive analysis.
