The use of the game in foreign language lessons enables the students to learn the language with pleasure and leads to better learning success. It explores why the games should be used as a teaching method and to maximize positive outcome in language learning. The aim is to analyze and examine the role of the games and activities in the process of language learning. This study mainly deals with the advantages and disadvantages of games and activities in German as a foreign language class. In general, it should be investigated whether games and activities support the second language learning process and how this “modern teaching” affects the students’ motivation in education.
