Mihail Sadoveanu and the “Însemnări ieşene” Magazine

Summary/Abstract: Although the “Însemnări ieşene” magazine did not have the impact of the magazines “Dacia literară” or “Convorbiri literare” in the national culture, it surely had a significant impact on the Romanian spiritual life from the first half of the XX-nd century. An important role in the accomplishment of the magazine’s direction belonged to the writer Mihail Sadoveanu. Our study will focus mainly on Mihail Sadoveanu and his publications, particularly published in “Însemnări ieşene”; according to the purpose declared in its first number, this magazine wanted to be “a completely independent cultural magazine, regardless the social and political tendencies of that time”.
