Summary/Abstract: This article investigates the impact ofcognitive activities involved in teaching differentialequations in secondary school. An analysis of textbooksis undertaken to identify the cognitive activitiesrequired from the students in learning and investing ofdifferential equations. We noted the lack of support forthe cognitive activities of changing frames, conversionsof registers of semiotic representations and modeling.A test administered to a group of students at terminalscience was carried out to diagnose their acquisitionson differential equations. Results showed various typesof difficulties which were observed in the resolution ofcertain equations from the field of physics.
