Summary/Abstract: This research represents the results of a study, through which I tried to apply the principles that characterize all the activities selected to test the sample on which this study is carried out. Activities such as nesting, cloze and summarizing, form the basis of the tests I intend to perform for the observation of semantic memory and to demonstrate the correlation between semantic memory itself, the ability to understand and between these activities. The general intention of this investigation is to show the importance and the central roles played by the techniques of linguistic puzzle activity, cloze, summary and finally the importance of semantic memory in the development of the capacity of comprehension. I tried to answer the crucial question of my research: "How do the different techniques of linguistic puzzle activity, cloze and summary' and semantic memory influence the development of comprehension?
