Summary/Abstract: The variation of the exchange rate of the national currency has effects on exports, imports and, as a consequence, on the entire economy (production, employment, inflation, etc.). The devaluation of a country’s currency stimulates its exports and curbs its imports. Revaluation of a country’s currency reduces its exports and stimulates imports. Given that exports and imports hold a significant weight in a country’s economy, it is easy to understand the major influence that the change in the exchange rate of the national currency has on the entire economic and social life in a country. The meaning and content of the notions, terms and expressions used in this work is presented in the article of the undersigned entitled „Exchange rate, devaluation, revaluation, depreciation, revaluation, reappreciation”, presented on several Websites.
